Employees and Faith: Keys to Success

Metal Building Products Inc. considers all of its employees – some of which have been there from the beginning – to be its greatest asset and crucial to its success. They all adhere to the company's mission: "dedicated to excellence in quality and customer service." To reward their loyalty, the company established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1998. Participation in the plan is offered to every employee. The company believes it not only benefits MBPI's staff, but also its customers.

"The program motivates employee-owners to participate more in the decisions to ensure our customers are properly taken care of because the overall outcome does affect the employee individually," said Sims. "We believe this opportunity is apparent in the commitment to service and quality our customers receive."

Sims also believes faith has also been a large part of the company's success for the past 20 years. He shared, "The Lord has been with us each step of the way. Our company wants to continue to allow God to guide us, be involved in the community, mission work and to trust Him. We know our success is not dollars – we recognize successes everyday."
